Officers and Members

Dakateo membership is open to Catholic theologians working or based in the Philippines, with at least a graduate degree equivalent to a licentiate, preferably a doctoral degree with specialization in Theology, Theological Studies, Religious Studies, or Religious Education, who subscribes to the vision and mission statement of the association and is active in theological research, education, or administration, preferably with published work.

Dakateo is a community of friends committed to a just and inclusive Church and society, standing in solidarity with the oppressed and marginalized, and promoting a liberationist and intercultural approach in theology. Membership is open to theologians working or based in the Philippines with a graduate degree equivalent to a licentiate or doctoral degree with specialization in Theology, Theological Studies, Religious Studies, or Religious Education; subscribes to the vision and mission of the association; is active in theological research, education, or administration; or whose accomplishment in theological education or scholarly research or advocacy work meets the standard ordinarily required for a doctoral degree.
